In line with the general and gradual trend of microcontroller device development from 8 and 16-bit to 32-bit devices, Holtek is delighted to announce its step into the 32-bit world with the release of an all new 32-bit MCU device series. Known as the HT32F125x series, and using an ARM® Cortex™-M3 core, these new 32-bit general type Flash devices, include features such as a high operating speed of up to 72MHz (90 DMIPS), a single power supply with an operating voltage range of 2.7V~3.6V and an industrial temperature range of -40?~85?. By including Holtek’s ISP (In-System Programming) and IAP (In-Application Programming) integrated functions, users will find the implementation of software upgrades an easy and quick process, thus enhancing product efficiency and flexibility.
The devices are supplied in 48-pin LQFP package types and contain up to 32 GPIO pins. Additional functions include fully integrated real time clock, operational amplifiers and comparators, USART interface, SPI interface, I2C interface etc. Application areas for this new range of devices could include medical products, computer peripherals, home appliances, personal health care products and portable devices etc.
Microcontroller devices are only as good as the development tools which support them and in this respect this new range of devices is well supported by a suite of tools from professional IDE suppliers including IAR, Keil and CooCox. In addition to these third party tools, Holtek also provides its own e-Link32 low cost development tool platform, as well as providing an extensive software program library and application development handbooks. This support package ensures that designers have all the tools to hand to ensure that their designs are debugged and completed as rapidly and efficiently as possible.
