MIPS is accredited by UFI (Union des Foires Internationales, the World Trade Union) and the Russian Union of Exhibitions and Fairs. Every two years, MIPS is an international exhibition audit UFI.
MIPS is the most effective international forum for the security and fire safety industry in Russia. Its ability to attract specialist visitors from all over Russia and CIS, and provide an environment that is conducive to discussing business, has made it extremely popular and well known in the region's security sector.
MIPS has grown considerably since its launch in 1994, featuring hundreds of domestic and international exhibitors each year. The size of the event increases every year as its reputation grows. A large part of the growth must also be attributed to the increased demand for security products in Russia and the growing number of international companies entering the market.

The comprehensive business programme is one of the key features of MIPS. Seminars will be held during the event, providing additional opportunities to learn about the Russian market and the products and new technologies that are currently available.
Furthermore, ‘The Best Innovative Product' competition generates huge interest each year. The main aim of the contest is to identify and promote the most innovative and high-quality products and services in the security industry.
Since 2009, the contest winners' equipment has been recommended to the governmental list of installation products, providing a fast route into the Russian market by considerably cutting the lengthy certification procedures.
The 2010 nominations were: security signalling systems, control and access management systems, CCTV and video surveillance systems, integrated security systems, information publications and fire alarm systems. MIPS annually brings together hundreds of market participants from around the world, confirming the status of an international security forum. It is here that set trends in the industry, demonstrated new and achieved important strategic agreement.
In 2013 MIPS participated with a stand of 490 domestic and foreign companies from 26 countries.
In 2013, five countries: United Kingdom, South Korea, China, Taiwan and Canada were represented by national teams.
More than a third of exhibitors MIPS - foreign companies. This is the largest percentage of foreign companies comprising members of local exhibitions on security.
